This article, first of all, summarizes the debate regarding "Chinese-style anthropology" since the reconstruction of anthropology, and discusses the background and significance of this dialogue. Second, it proposes that the discussion on anthropology is concerned with "the issue of the localization of anthropology," and also discusses the background, significance, and drawbacks of localization of anthropology. Third, it suggests how to localize and develop anthropology in China
