The reasons for attempting the experiment and the fundamental hypothesis behind it are explained and arc followed by a brief account of the methodological background in the form of personal contacts and literature. Determination of the material to be used and its definition and description follow, together with an account of the measurements data desired from the material. The method of feeding the measurements into the Pap cards and the magnetic tapes and also the system programming are described. Utilizing an entirely theoretical material, the lists, Tables, and diagrams produced arc demonstrated. A summary reviews the results of the theoretical experiment and specifies the practical work in progress
