L'analyse pollinique de trois sites attribués au Natoufien ancien, récent et tardif dans la Basse Vallée du Jourdain démontre une légère humidité au Natoufien ancien et une dessiccation progressive qui atteint son point culminant au Natoufien tardif. Les données géomorphologiques et fauniques corroborent ces résultats
