Dans The Agüero Sisters la perspective plurielle et fragmentée propre à l’écriture de l’exil est due à la voix narrative flottante qui émane d’un espace non-déterminé, quelque part entre La Havane et Miami. La structure narrative du roman figure l’écartèlement spatial et culturel des « deux Cubas », sans pour autant céder à une vision dichotomique.
