El autor analiza la evolución electoral argentina desde la redemocratización de 1983. En todos los ámbitos territoriales se observa una creciente fragmentación que cuestiona el tradicional bipartidismo entre peronistas y radicales, y afecta a la estabilidad institucional del país —específicamente al colegio electoral—.
