À partir de corpus de publications scientifiques, de brevets et de discours promotionnels en provenance de quatre grandes entreprises propriétaires de plateformes de médias sociaux (Google, Meta, ByteDance et X), nous analysons leurs processus de mise en données des expressions émotionnelles des usagers et usagères. Nous montrons que cette production de données affectives repose sur des représentations universalisantes des émotions et engendre une standardisation de ce qui peut affecter comme une accaparation commerciale de ce qui émeut en ligne
