This study aims to discuss and analyse the influence of bureaucrats, regulations, and e-government on the efficiency of economic regulations. Specifically, it focuses on economic regulations related to import and export and considers the waiting time of policy services to measure efficiency. All indices use panel data from at least 110 countries with an average of 10 years. The data were analysed using the panel fixed effects model. The findings of the analysis are that high-quality bureaucrats, regulations, and e-government reduce the time for processing import and export. This result suggests that bureaucrats, regulations, and e-government exert a positive impact on the market economy. The reason this result is important is that the government's role has been subject to criticism for being biased towards negative aspects. The fact that the government plays an essential role in the field of economic regulation and improving the quality of bureaucrats, regulations, and e-government also plays a positive role in the market system also proves the basic premise of public administration as a supplementary mechanism for market failure.KEYWORDS: BureaucratsregulationE-governmenteconomic regulation policyqualitytime AcknowledgmentsThis paper is written by revising and developing part of the author's doctoral dissertation.
