According to interpreters of Benjamin’s work, this essay constitutes one of the first experiments of the author on the urban theme, and indicates a series of questions and dimensions of the city that will be focused in his latter reflections on the urban. In listing and briefly analyzing the main themes and subtopics of “Naples”, I aim to contribute to Walter Benjamin’s studies in Brazil, and also explore the theoretic and epistemological potential of his work to the contemporary urban studies, specially in the fields of Anthropology and Sociology. Keywords: Naples.
