Sammendrag Artikkelen belyser rollen til en bedriftsleder i et selskap i Alaska. Med utgangspunkt i en kommersiell organisasjon som eies av den alaskanske urbefolkningen, argumenteres det for en generativ tilnærming til entreprenørvirksomhet som inkluderer både system- og aktørbaserte perspektiver. Ved å se på hvordan lederen forsøker å gjøre gjennomgripende forandringer i et selskap, viser artikkelen mulighetene og begrensningene i entreprenøriell virksomhet. Lederens utfordringer med den daglige driften av selskapet i det rurale Alaska må forstås på bakgrunn av de ansattes avhengighet av jakt og fiske og landets koloniale historie
