L'articolo propone uno studio della qualità abitativa e del benessere individuale su un campione rappresentativo della popolazione italiana. L'analisi comprende la costruzione di indici che incorporano sia variabili oggettive, relative all'abitazione e al suo ambiente circostante, che soggettive, legate alla soddisfazione soggettiva ed una cluster analysis per individuare specifici profili abitativi osservandone la loro distribuzione territoriale per aree a diversi livelli di urbanizzazione
