In this photoethnographic essay, I present images of the daily lives of migrant women from other West African countries living in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, between 2022 and 2023. Far from home, these women form new connections and solidarity networks to help them overcome the daily challenges they face. Through my work, I aim to present them beyond the stereotypes and controlling images directed at them, showcasing the complexity and nuances of their lives and restoring their humanity as women, mothers, workers, and individuals
