The article analyzes scientific events dedicated to the formation of a new world order, and held within the framework of the international Moscow platform for meetings of historians, existing on the basis of the Russian Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2025, one of the main topics for scientific discussion was the construction of a new architecture of Eurasian security. In particular, domestic and foreign speakers noted that Russian initiatives on this issue do not contain a strict framework, are not directed against the United States and are not ideological in nature, which makes it possible for the widest range of countries to participate in them. Similar processes are taking place in BRICS. The organization did not follow the path of creating a rigid integration structure and bureaucratization of activities, as happened, for example, with the European Union, but is gradually turning into the most influential platform in the world for discussing and solving global problems, which explains the growing interest in BRICS among a large number of countries. Within the framework of the Moscow platform for meetings of historians, the relevance of the principles of the Westphalian system for today's world was also discussed. The principles of sovereignty, equality, and balance of power could form the basis of a new multipolar world. Regular references by Moscow, Beijing, and the majority of world countries to the foundations of the Westphalian system are an important element of the events taking place today. As for Western countries, well-known foreign speakers participating in Moscow scientific conferences note that the source of the current crisis in relations between Russia and the West was a different understanding of the end of the Cold War, as well as specific erroneous decisions by Western countries, primarily NATO expansion to the East. In general, over the past three years, Moscow has become an important scientific platform where scientists from different countries of the world discuss the contours of the future world order, which is a striking example of the practical implementation of the principles of science diplomacy
