The article by Professor V.A. Volokh is dedicated to one of the most controversial issues of our time – \nmigration issues in and out of Russia. In the context of economic and political globalization not only \nbasic characteristics of the international migration process have changed, but also their determinants. \nThe EU Member States are seriously concerned about the issues of uncontrolled flow of migrants from \nthe Middle East and try to find ways to resolve the immigration crisis. In Russia, with the increasing \nflow of refugees from Eastern Ukraine and other categories of migrants, this problem has also acquired \ngreat importance. \nProf. V.A. Volokh examines in detail the state migration policy of the Russian Federation, processes \nand mechanisms of management of migration flows, measures taken to prevent illegal immigration in \nthe country, and suggests possible ways to optimize legislation on refugees
