published a paper otn the Ba-Mbala, in which it was stated that this people were immigranits from the south, who had changed their abode uinder pressure, and lhad split up in the process.Since the publication of this paper, investigations lhave beeni made among the otlher branch of this people, situated to the south of that previously described, and, since the former differ from the latter considerably in certain respects, it will be as well to supplement the paper in the Journal, which deals with the Nortlhern Ba-Mbala, by a few notes on the Southern Ba-Mbala
