Le travail porte sur les préoccupations environnementales des populations européennes face à la crise des réfugiés. À l’aide de l’enquête sociale européenne de 2016, nous estimons les effets des craintes concernant l’environnement tout en contrôlant les facteurs individuels et institutionnels. Les résultats suggèrent que, même si les questions de sécurité expliquent la plus grande part des attitudes vis-à-vis de l’immigration, les préoccupations environnementales dépassent nettement les effets statistiques de la religion, du revenu ou de l’expérience de la vie à l’étranger
