Alejandro Madrid, a recognized researcher on Mexican music history, and Robin Moore, with excellent previous books on Cuban music, have joined forces to produce a book on a musical genre that originated in Cuba but that is danced more in Mexico than anywhere else. The book is arguably the most comprehensive study of danzn and will surely be of great help to future studies of Afro-Latin American music for many decades to come
