Cumpliendo con la Ley? Un Análisis de la Implementación de la Normativa Europea de Turismo Accesible en el Sur de Europa

Accessible tourism is not only a social right: it also represents an important economic sector for developed economies. In order to guarantee accessible tourism, the European Union has developed a legislation that will be analysed in this paper. The objective is to see if some countries from the south of Europe have done their homework in this area. To do so, an analysis of the state of play of accessible tourism will be done from a normative and legal perspective, using a qualitative methodology. This methodology will first use a documentary analysis of the legal framework of accessible tourism in the EU. Then we will make a comparative analysis on three countries from the south of Europe: Spain, Italy and Portugal. By doing so we will check whether those countries have really done their homework in this area
