Les premières fouilles sur le gisement de Salibiya I (Basse Vallée du Jourdain) ont révélé près d'un mètre de dépôts anthropiques et deux couches natoufiennes. L'industrie lithique associée permet de placer ce site sur l'horizon récent du Natoufien. On n'a pas trouvé de vestiges de structures, mais faunes et charbons sont particulièrement bien conservés
