This paper presents one aspect of an ongoing study of the development of literary representations of reality. More specifically, the study, and the paper, deal with transitions, from the formation of literary models in a particular cultural setting to their acculturation in different cultural contexts. The complete study encompasses various literary representations of natural phenomena, such as a specific plant or animal, a season, or a particular identifiable geographical place. The common feature of such phenomena is the fact that their reality-base can be easily traced even in texts which are not written in a conventionally realistic manner.
