The author is a psychiatrist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist who shifted his work to the position of a Crisis Counselor and Coordinator of Work with the Military at NGO “Crisis Psychological Assistance of Dnipro City and Dnipropetrovsk Region” (Dnipro, Ukraine). In this contribution, he discusses psychoanalytic work in times of war-related crisis, including the modification of psychoanalytic techniques. The described challenges and modifications are illustrated via four brief clinical examples
