La généralisation européenne, depuis le début du nouveau millénaire, d'un modèle de « cours d'intégration » obligatoires et à destination de tout adulte ressortissant de pays tiers et candidat à l'installation, renouvelle le visage de l'administration de l'immigration régulière. En revenant sur la généalogie néerlandaise de ce dispositif migratoire et le corpus théorique lui étant associé, cet article analyse sa mise en œuvre concrète en France et en Allemagne, par une immersion ethnographique questionnant l'expérience subjective qu'en font les participants
