L'A. s'interesse aux consequences de cette experience pour la philosophie et la theologie. En derniere analyse, ce qu'il cherche, ce sont des sources d'experience en vue de l'elaboration de concepts ethiques. La culture moderne des images n'est pas exclue de cette recherche
