The first evidence of rock engravings in the Magallanes region, specifically recorded in the locality of Sierra Baguales, is presented. These consist of two non-figurative motifs on rocky substrate on the banks of the Baguales River: a circular geometric motif and a continuous tridigit motif and an isolated block fragment with an anthropomorphic figurative motif recorded near Villa Cerro Guido. The communication presented here is purely descriptive, informing about the details of the finding and its context, thus highlighting the importance of the discovery of the artistic expression for the archaeology of the Patagonian region
