This article seeks to analyse how domestic workers involved in a cross-border care chain in northern Chile and Bolivia, manage their emotions in care work. An analysis was made of 21 in-depth interviews, using Hochschild's sociology of emotions. The conclusion reached is that the domestic work carried out by women in circular mobility involves intense and constant emotional management at both the personal and working level, in order to successfully deal with the difficulties generated by the cross-border care chain of which they form part
