Drumlin fields may display morphological characteristics related to the decline of ice velocity and thickness toward the margins of an ice sheet. Trend-surface analysis of two drumlin fields near Guelph, Ontario, suggests that drumlin elongation and size decline toward the margins of the fields, although the variation of drumlin density is less clear. Random disturbance of this pattern results from such local factors as land slope and drift depth. Key Words: DrumlinsSouthwest OntarioTrend-surface analysis
