On december 21th 1491, Violante Gonzalez's bones were burnt at the stake by the Cuenca inquisitors. There after the Inquisition carried on persecuting her descendants for judaism, blasphemy and hindering the Holy Office's law. She ended up working as a proper « memorial ». At the same time the memory of the infamy was being preserved and reactivated. Finally the historian is able to reconstitute a positive memory from a négative one left by the inquisitors
