The article examines Francesca Melandri’s novel Sangue giusto (2017) as a critical intervention in Italian memory culture, focusing on the novel’s engagement with Far-Right revisionist narratives and the enduring legacy of Italy’s Fascist and colonial past. The article analyzes the novel’s critical representation of Far-Right activism, and it shows that Sangue giusto transcends traditional antifascist critiques by adopting a perspective rooted in the concept of implication, encouraging readers to reflect on their own positionality within historical injustices. By tracing the influence of Italy’s colonial ambitions on contemporary issues of racism, multiculturalism, and national identity, Sangue giusto provides a compelling multitemporal narrative that counters historical amnesia, dismantles self-absolving myths, and challenges Far-Right ideologies and memory politics. The article argues that Melandri’s novel offers a self-critical approach to antifascism that reinvigorates Italian memory culture, inviting readers to cultivate a responsible engagement with the past that moves beyond antagonistic approaches
