He is a director and shareholder in an investment and corporate advisory business, for UbiCap Group. He speaks, broadcasts, and writes on trends in the financial markets. He has spoken at numerous industry events and conferences, including Worldwide Exchanges Conference, Sibos, and GARP. He appears frequently in the press, including the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, and CNN, and pens regular columns for a number of industry publications. He has spent over thirty-five years in the banking and investment sectors, where he worked for a number of major financial institutions. Based in the UK Channel Islands, Mr McDowall holds a Law degree (LLB Hons) from University College London
