L'A. s'interesse a la notion de legende contemporaine (ou nouvelle, histoires d'horreur, cultes sataniques, etc.) et prend l'exemple de « The Hook » qui serait apparu dans les annees 1950 et dont plusieurs intepretations ont ete faites (psychologiques, sexuelles, etc). Peut-on classr « The Hook » parmi les legendes les plus communes chez les adolescents, les legendes feminines, ou peut-on la considerer comme une forme « typique » de recit ? La notion de « nomos » (habitude, norme) est etudiee
