In Western France, numerous are Acheulian signs (handaxes alone and discovered without exact stratigraphic context), but rare are in this region assemblages of more than one hundred artefacts with numerous handaxes. Planguenoual site's is the only one known until now in Britain. Knapping function and the production of flake tools is proved. Nevertheless, without handaxes rough draw, handaxe flakes, "coup de tranchet" flake, the shaping handaxes function, on the settlement, must be proved. Handaxes are introduced finished
