Exception is taken to Ron (1985). The sketchy evaluation of irrigation systems in the Holy Land is biased towards suggesting that much of the irrigation infrastructure can be traced back to Jewish and not to Arab sources. Secondly, no real attention is directed to the Zionist colonial water entrapment schemes that are now seriously depleting traditional, native fellahin irrigation methods
