This study investigates the relationship between certain aspects of job satisfaction and organizational role congruence for selected college administrators. Data from 211 college administrators in twenty-two private liberal arts colleges are analyzed by stepwise linear regression analyses in which independent variables were entered in blocks. The findings indicate that college administrators are very satisfied with most aspects of their jobs, with senior administrators more satisfied than mid-level administrators. Organizational role congruence may facilitate administrator job satisfaction if the administrator considers the congruence dimension desirable
