In some exceptionally rare sessions, persons (patients, clients) appeared to undergo profound personal transformation. Furthermore, the personal transformation seemed to be pervasive, permanent, pleasant, and exciting. Clinical study of these sessions revealed at least three ways in which the therapist was quite different in ways that are interpreted as enabling personal transformation.
