Semistructured interviews and four structured questionnaires were used to conceptualize the influences of the microsystem, mesosystem, and exosystem on a 15-year-old girl. The material is used to illustrate the utility of social-ecological evaluations in conceptualizing environmental factors, enhancing clinical case descriptions, and formulating intervention strategies
