This article is part of the research project PID2019-105057GA-I00 / AEI / 10.13039 / 501100011033, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. It is the first of an expected series of publications on the burial chamber of TT 87, which will continue to deal with scribal models and practices as well as the meaning of the funerary formulae selected for its decoration. Fieldwork in TT 87 (see n. 18) is part of the Spanish Epigraphic and Conservation Project at Sheikh Abd el-Qurna (also known as the New Kingdom Scribes—NKS—Project), under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The fieldwork was possible with the funding received from CSIC, the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and the Palarq Foundation and was undertaken in close association with the Spanish Mission to Dra Abu el-Naga (also known as “Djehuty Project”)
