Although a great many short essays and several very excellent books have been written in recent years for the purpose of elucidating and evaluating the poetry of T. S. Eliot, very few critics have really attempted to do complete justice to the Indian philosophical themes which are given expression (directly or indirectly) in his poetry. A brief survey of the literature affords us ample evidence in support of this state
