Arroyo de los Indios, a historic pictograph in nmthem Coahuila, is described and compared to the known sample of post-contact rock art found around the mouth of the Pecos River on the left bank of the Rio Grande. Horses and shield-bearing warriors dominate the iconography at this site. In location and theme, Arroyo de los Indios is similar to other pictographs of this era. Its individualistic style exemplifies the diversity of post-contact art in this region, symptomatic of flux in the social order
