A Lubbock County, Texas cache of lithic artifacts within a small playa basin includes 60 bifaces, a unijace, 46 flakes, two possible hammerstones, and a sandstone abrader. Fourteen of the bifaces are projectile points, 13 of which are comparable to those in the Plainview assemblage. The remaining point is arguably a reworked Clovis point. Other bifaces may be blanks and preforms for the points. The flakes are detachments from an earlier reduction stage of the blanks, as well as from polyhedral cores not present in the cache. A much more pronounced reliance on bifacial reduction is evident than has been proposed for Plainview technology. Radiocarbon dates obtained from in situ playa sediments associated with the cache range from 9220±220 BP (SMU2448) to 1 0,650±120 BP (SMU2447)
