Croissance démographique et rapport urbain - rural dans les régions basses des Alpes françaises du Nord sans la région urbaine grenobloise

The lower regions of the Northern Alps of France, especially the valleys, channel along more or less narrow thoroughfares, the tendancies to peripheral urbanisation. There ensues an opposite trend in numerous population graphs which shows the countryside becoming absorbed by urban dwellers. This trend is somewhat in direct ratio with the size of the sprading conglomerations. The very notion of rural milieu must therefore be questioned : it is, actually, a second urban milieu which is taking place in our countryside
