Since the discovery, in 1964, of the stone-axe factory working the «dolérite du type A» at Plussulien, in the south-west of Department des Côtes du Nord, excavations and surveys concerned not only megalithic graves at Laniscat and Plenauff, but also dwelling places at St-Nicolas-du-Pélem and Trémargat. A consistent vision begins to émerge from this, concerning the neolithisation of that part of central Brittany (chronology, links with the «classical» coastal areas, cultural affinities, territorial organisation, demography). Some of these data can even give a basis for trial extrapolation, to western France in general
