Without additional resources, a university Latin program and a nearby public school have provided undergraduates with the opportunity to explore and experience teaching Latin at the secondary level. The internship has supported the efforts of the Latin teacher in the public school, illustrated to undergraduate students the possibility of teaching Latin in a secondary school as a professional option after graduation, and benefited both the school and the university Latin programs. The program can be readily adapted to local circumstances and will be replicated at a second university this fall
