Madsen, Henrik Breuning, Kristian Aagaard Hoist og Axel Henry Nørr: Landbrugsjordens terrsnhældning. Geografisk Tidsskrift 87: 68–70. Kobenhavn, juni 1987. Slope classes from the Danish soil classification have been digitized and area statistics in relation to counties and landforms have been carried out. SUMMARY In the Danish soil classification the arable land was divided into three slope classes; below 6°, 6°–12° and above 12°. The slope classes were digitized and area statistics in relation to counties and landforms were calculated. Areas with slopes above 6° cover approximately 3% of the arable land and nearly 1% of the arable land was sloping more than 12%. The arable land in the young morainic zones has the highest frequency of areas sloping more than 6° while the outwash plains and marine raised sea-floors represent the lowest frequency.
