HE University of the West Indies hasT been very deeply involved in family planning at the research, training, and operational levels in various departments of the University- the Medical Department, Social Welfare Department, and so on. But I would like to use this paper as a method of s’haring, in an essentially practical manner, some of the experiences we have had in short-term training of persons who are per-forming social welfare functions in a variety of settings in the Caribbean.
