English The dominant economic philosophy, heavily influenced by neoliberalism, is antagonistic to state intervention. Drawing on the case of Canada, we argue that women's groups could resort to international advocacy to combat neoliberal social policy. Such advocacy has a number of potentials as discussed, including fostering a rights-based discourse.
