Factors associated with dental caries among institutionalized residents with schizophrenia in Taiwan
Aging was the most important factor related to a high level of dental caries. Low educational level, low income, and LOS were also associated with the indicators of dental caries among institutionalized subjects with schizophrenia. Diagnosis and treatment delay among pulmonary tuberculosis patients identified using the Taiwan reporting enquiry system, 2002–2006
The Taiwan TB reporting enquiry system has successfully increased the confirmed PTB reporting rate from 64.4% to 71.5%. Greater age and a positive sputum culture were both found to significantly increase both diagnosis and treatment delays; treatment delay is also significantly affected by the patient having an aboriginal ethnic background and being diagnosed at a non-medical center

Analytical results demonstrate that prevalence and secular trends in overweight and obese Taiwanese children and adolescents increased significantly from 1991 to 2003. Taiwanese boys are more likely to become overweight and obese than their female counterparts
