  • Effect of exercise intervention on quality of life and exercise capacity in patients with atrial fibrillation

Open Access•Yaya Xi, Yinxue Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

  • Self‐other agreement and criterion‐related validity of moral pride and hubris

Open Access•Feng Bai, Katrina Jia Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Personality•2024

OBJECTIVES: This research investigates the moral implications of trait-level moral pride and hubris, addressing prior limitations by gathering data from multiple sources. We raise two interrelated questions: (1) Do well-acquainted peers agree with their friends on judgments of trait-level moral pride and hubris? (2) Are moral pride and hubris related to divergent (im)moral outcomes, regardless of measurement sources? METHOD: We collected data fro…

  • How virtue, competence, and dominance conjointly shape status attainment at work

Feng Bai, Katrina Jia Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Personality and Social…•2024•Citada por: 1

Status researchers have recognized virtue, competence, and dominance as distinct, viable routes to attaining status. While acknowledging that these routes could be compatible and may not operate independently, prior research relying on a variable-centered perspective has largely neglected their potentially complex interactions. This article integrates a person-centered perspective with the variable-centered perspective to explore how different ro…

The second paragraph of the author note should read as follows: This research was funded by an internal start-up grant (1-ZE74) awarded to Feng Bai from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a grant (NSFC 71572175) awarded to Jin Yan from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.] The authors perform one of the first empirical tests of the moral vir…

  • Many Analysts, One Data Set

Open Access•Raphael Silberzahn, Eric Luis Uhlmann et al.•ARTICLE•Advances in Methods and Practices…•2018

Twenty-nine teams involving 61 analysts used the same data set to address the same research question: whether soccer referees are more likely to give red cards to dark-skin-toned players than to light-skin-toned players. Analytic approaches varied widely across the teams, and the estimated effect sizes ranged from 0.89 to 2.93 ( Mdn = 1.31) in odds-ratio units. Twenty teams (69%) found a statistically significant positive effect, and 9 teams (31%…

  • The robustness of the win–win effect

Open Access•Feng Bai, Eric Luis Uhlmann et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Experimental Social…•2015•Referencias: 11

We demonstrate that positive relationships between measures of national gender equality and Olympic medal wins are robust across a variety of appropriate statistical approaches to analyzing cross-national data. First demonstrated by Berdahl, Uhlmann, and Bai (2015), who controlled for GDP, population, latitude, and income inequality, we show that relationships between gender equality and medal wins remain positive when controlling for GDP per cap…
