Caffeoylglucaric acid isomers, tannin acalyphidin M1 and lignan demethyleneniranthin were reported for the first time in the species. After in vitro gastroinstestinal digestion, the composition of the extract changed. The dialyzed fraction showed strong glucose-6-phosphatase inhibition
