The purpose was to validate a set of items measuring career indecision in women undergraduates. Incorporated were marital/familial status, sex-role attitudes, and role conflicts. The sample of 113 men and 108 women were either freshmen in introductory psychology courses or seniors enrolled in a cross-section of senior courses in their respective academic majors. The analysis provided evidence that the set of items measured career indecision but less evidence that the set measured gender-specific sex-role-related career indecision
