L'A. examine la question de l'origine de la vie et de l'evolutionnisme de type darwinien a partir de la maniere peu courante d'en traiter de Latour et Sturm (1986), qui ont presente une analyse des conceptions concernant les origines sur le mode de l'histoire racontee, autrement dit du recit. L'A. est ainsi conduit a revoir les differentes manieres de rendre compte de la creation et de l'evolution de l'humanite en s'interrogeant egalement, d'un point de vue methodique, sur les connexions entre science et mythe et les manieres d'ecrire le scenario de l'humanite
