  • Nauka niemiecka o idei kompensacji w prawie karnym - wybrane zagadnienia

    Open Access•Wojciech Zalewski•ARTICLE•Studia Prawnicze / The Legal…•2023

Autor artykułu opisuje zagadnienia związane z naprawieniem szkody za dokonane przestępstwo w kontekście prawa karnego. Autor powołując się na wybitnych niemieckich…

  • In search of the future of penology. Can we escape from the fatalistic vision of criminal law: Przyszłość penologii. Czy możliwa jest ucieczka od fatalizmu prawa karnego

    Open Access•Wojciech Zalewski•ARTICLE•Archiwum Kryminologii•2023•References: 1

Penology, like the criminal law to which it essentially refers, is seen as a science in crisis. This crisis is related to the unclear conceptual and problematic scope to which it is intended to refer. In this text, the author presents a proposal for the broadest deployment of penology and juxtaposes it with contrology, a science that also includes methods of influence and control over human behaviour other than criminal. The author notes that it …

  • Double-Track System in Polish Criminal Law. Political and Criminal Assumptions, History, Contemporary References

    Open Access•Wojciech Zalewski•ARTICLE•Acta Poloniae Historica•2019

The authors of the penal code of 1932 modelled their reaction measures on the best contemporary standards. The system of criminal response was based on a double-track model, in German called zwei Spuren, in Italian – doppio binario, in which, along with penalties, there were also preventive measures. This system grew out of certain political and criminal assumptions of the sociological school, expressed most fully in the works of Franz von Liszt.…
